Today I share a story where I was called a 'f**king incompetent' for following the store's policy and not just doing what the customer wanted. Newsflash, my job is NOT to make the customer happy. It's to follow store policy and it's great when those two things line up. When they don't, it's the CUSTOMER's job to accept it, not the cashier's job to change it.
